Quiet & scenic landscape
Bealaha B&B is located in quiet scenic landscape halfway between Kilkee and Doonbeg on the Wild Atlantic Way at the west coast of County Clare, Ireland. We are less than 30 mins. to/from the Killimer Car Ferry which is connecting Counties Clare and Kerry.
The amazing cliffs of the Clare coastline are only a couple of minutes away. The Baltard Cliffs are a hidden secret of which only very few people know. We'll advise you about the best viewing points! The seaside resort of Kilkee with its sheltered safe & sandy beach, strand promenade and rock pools is also only a short drive from the house. One should not miss seeing the cliffs extending from Kilkee to Loop Head Lighthouse, which are as spectacular as the Cliffs of Moher; but without the crowds! The village of Doonbeg is famous for the hospitality of its people. Restaurants and cosy pubs await you in the evenings, after playing at the renowned Doonbeg Golf Links, or after spending the day on one of the two fabulous beaches there.
Our central West Clare location is ideal for sightseeing tours along the West Coast of Clare. Doolin, the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren region are all within less than 1 hour drive and can be explored on easy half day or full day excursions.
Walkers and cyclists can explore the little roads in our area to enjoy the scenery and fresh air.
The Tullaher National Loop Walk passes near our house and leads towards the low hills of Carrowblough Moor with fine views of Doonbeg River and Estuary, Doughmore Bay, Mattle and Mutton Islands. Tullaher Bog has fine examples of raised bog, wet grassland, scrub woodland, alkaline fen and lake with cocks and hen pheasants, rabbits and fields of bog cotton.
